Aniverse Marks Its 1st Year

Aniverse

This is a very VERY late announcement of the first year for Aniverse. Aniverse's official online birth was back in between February and March of 2008. It's already July of 2009 time sure does fly by. ^^;

I remembered that roughly a year or more has already passed by since I started on the Aniverse Project, and started digging through old files and an old pen drive that I used to use during the beginning of the Project. Took me a bit to sort through what was garbage and what was the data that I needed and finally after a day or so, got the answers I was looking for.

Aniverse officially went online around February and March of 2008 as Aniverse V2 and became the starting point for Aniverse. At the time, it was hosted on a free hosting server and didn't have its own domain. Aniverse started as a second version because the first version of Aniverse was too buggy and broken to be officially released.

Timeline and pictures of the Aniverse Project:

Start of Aniverse Project - 2007/09

The background never blended with the text. Ended up scrapping it and starting over. This version of Aniverse never reached 1.0 which is why I refer this one as the unofficial Aniverse.

Official Launch of Aniverse v2 - 2008/02-03

Better contrast in colors, block column moved to the left. Gallery was introduced to this version, which made some success in bringing visitors.

Launch of Aniverse v3 - 2008/07

New system and look was introduced in version 3. A new version of the Gallery was also introduced with this new version. Many of the restrictions that was in version 2 were resolved. Also during this new version, Aniverse officially got its own domain name.

Launch of Aniverse v4 - 2009/04

Currently on this version. Many new enhancements were made to be not only visually appealing but also content driven and many features in which the user can utilize, making the user experience much richer than before. With the new system in place, I was able to join the Gallery as part of the website itself.

Aniverse has grown since its official and unofficial release to the internets. It has finally been one year for Aniverse, and hope that Aniverse is and will be around for the next couple of years to come.

I'd like to thank all of the people who have supported me, all the users who have registered to Aniverse, and all of the visitors who have visited the website.

I actually like the look of Aniverse 3, even though the layout looks more like a blog. Blogs are pretty popular, but I guess you didn't want to go that route.

Yeah I'm not trying to go the blogging route, although it seems like I am blogging. Without a community in place, I can't really do what I would like to do. Maybe I'm approaching it the wrong way?
