Review: Highschool of the Dead

After watching the first episode of Highschool of the Dead (HOTD), my first thought was OMG! I immediately wanted to watch the next episode, knowing that it wasn't aired yet. This series is action packed. Zombies, blood, total chaos, plenty of breast and panty shots, and even a little comedy that helps ease some of the tension.
HOTD starts off with the lead character, Takashi Komuro, telling the story of how the world as he knew it came to an end. Takashi witnesses the beginning of the end while he was skipping class and thinking of his one true love Rei. Rei, however, is currently dating his best friend Hisashi. Unfortunately, Takashi has no choice but to kill his best friend after he was bitten by a zombie while he was trying to save his girlfriend. With the love triangle abruptly ended, Takashi and Rei remain strong and work together to escape the swarm of zombies. Leaving them fighting for survival. But they're not alone. A few more schoolmates team up with them along with the boinging boobs of the school nurse.
A little history search on Highschool of the Dead states that it's story was first introduced in Fijimi Shobo's 'Monthly Dragon Age' in September 2006 and is now published throughout the world. The manga was the adapted into a animation and is currently being aired in Japan. The series has 13 episodes. Each episode ending will have a different song to keep the music lovers happy.
All in all, this is an awesome series. It's originality attracts even the most skeptic of anime fans. Awesome action, great music and the characters will surprise you. So what are you waiting for? Stop reading the review and check it out for yourself!
